Come and try our new lunch menu!

As the line in the old Estonian poem goes, kõik on uus septembrikuus – everything’s new in September! Well, our hotel and restaurant are in the same place they always were, but the Monaco now has a brand new lunch menu! Putting it together, head chef Oleg Alasi thought about clients with slightly more demanding palates. We are now offering tempting three-courses lunches from Monday to Friday – perfect to enjoy with colleagues, partners and friends. The menu is light but nutritious and filling enough to keep you going for the rest of the day.
A wise man once said that we can’t live on bread alone. For that reason our €13 lunch menu includes a glass of juice, a local beer or a glass of wine! We firmly believe that new is better, and we want to prove it to you. So let us make you an offer: bring yourself and two others with you to try our lunch menu this September and the third person dines for free!
Come in and try our new menu – you won’t be disappointed. You might even be surprised! Take a look at the menu here.

Design and innovation come together in Tallinn

The Tallinn 2011 – European Capital of Culture programme has been full of interesting events so far this year. One of the most exciting was the international festival with its origins in Design Night which saw Tallinn become a Mecca for design lovers from 16–25 September. The focus this year was on innovation and people-centred design woven into everyday life with the influence of social inclusion, mobility, an economical approach and technology.
The heart of the festival was right next to our hotel, in the Rotermann quarter. The programme included a range of conferences and workshops and culminated in the Design Management Europe Awards ceremony.
We’re not only glad that our hotel’s situated so close to the focal point of design in Tallinn, but that we were able to be of use in accommodating invited guests of and visitors to the festival. People with a love of good design are always welcome at Nordic Hotel Forum!

Tallinn International Horse Show

This year’s Tallinn International Horse Show will be taking place at the Saku Suurhall arena from 7-9 October. The programme includes world-class show-jumping competitions and horse shows, with the high point being the Alexela Grand Prix – the main event in the World Cup stage being hosted in Tallinn. In addition to Estonia’s best horses and riders, who will be putting themselves to the test in competition at the show, each day will also feature special entertainment. One of the highlights here will be the horse men from France, whose duel with their four-legged friends will determine who the best jumpers really are!

Nordic Hotel Forum has long been a partner to the Tallinn International Horse Show, and we promise to continue contributing to local horse-riding traditions!

Fashion Week brings out the glamour in Tallinn

Tallinn Fashion Week, the biggest event of its kind in Estonia, saw the capital shine once again in September.

The main event on the annual fashion calendar in the country, organized by the Estonian Fashion Council, it presented a range of very different shows. The main programme took place in mid-September at the Estonian Puppet and Youth Theatre. The week culminated in a special show in the Luther quarter for which collections especially made for the event by big names on the Estonian fashion scene – Liisi Eesmaa, Tanel Veerne and Aldo Järvsoo – were presented to the public.

We’re glad to have been able to support the event, and join Tallinn Fashion Week 2011 in encouraging everyone to go for local design!
